Separation of Church and State

The
Constitution is a secular document. Nowhere does it appeal to
God, Christianity, Jesus, or any other supreme being. The
Constitution does not include the phrase "Separation of Church
and State," neither does it say "Freedom of Religion."
However, the Constitution implies both in the 1st Amendment. As
to the separation, Congress shall make no law respecting and
establishment of religion. As to freedom of religion, Congress
shall make no law . . . or prohibiting the free exercise
thereof.

Overcoming Struggles With School

I struggle with institutionalized learning. I realized that I
have a short attention span when it comes to subject matters that I
feel do not equip me with practical everyday knowledge that can
promote revolution in my community. It’s not surprising that I have
been struggling with whether or not I am college material. Even
though I graduated from high school 11 years ago at the top 10% of
my graduating class as an honors magnet student, it meant very
little to me because it was during some of the darkest years in my
teenage life.

has made us certain promises. Or we’ve read about how He answers
prayers in the Bible. And, while that seems well and good, in our
case, and in our specific instance, He just doesn’t seem to be
coming through. Which always brings me to the question – Why does
God make us wait so long? Doesn’t the Bible promise that He will
answer us when we call?
